A Victory for Diplomacy in Korea

A year ago today, North Korea tested a nuclear weapon. While there is still some debate about just how successful the explosion really was, there is no doubt the test shook up world affairs.

Looking back at the diplomatic turmoil surrounding the test, I don't think anyone could have predicted that exactly one year later the Korean Peninsula would be facing its most dramatic chance for peace and reconciliation in a generation.

In fact, diplomatic progress is marching so quickly Stephen Colbert of The Colbert Report is worried.
