The U.S. State Department Has a Blog

Last month, the U.S. State Department launched their official blog. Titled "Dipnote" (yep, that's the real name), the site, "...offers the public an alternative source to mainstream media for U.S. foreign policy information. This blog offers the opportunity for participants to discuss important foreign policy issues with senior Department officials."

The initial writing on the site seems a little stilted, not the chatty informality of most blogs. But it does allow comments, so Dipnote could become an important place for global dialogue on U.S. foreign policy.
