What Does Recognition Mean For Syrian Opposition Council?

As I mentioned yesterday, the United States has recognized the Syrian Opposition Council as the legitimate government in Syria. That doesn't mean strongman Bashar al-Assad is gone, but it does mean that his opponents have an overt, strong political ally in the United States.
