The blogosphere is full of great resources on U.S. foreign policy. Some of it is analysis, some is opinion, and some is on-the-ground reporting. Here are the ones I check nearly every day.
This blog is run by the editors of
Foreign Policy magazine. While it does point to content from the print publication, there is so much more. The daily "Morning Briefing" full of foreign policy related links is priceless.
Steve Clemons of the
New America Foundation runs this personal blog (which now features guest writers as well). Mixed in with great analysis of current events is high-quality, well-informed speculation about behind-the-scenes maneuvering in Washington, DC's foreign policy machine.
Charlie Brown is a former U.S. State Department official and veteran of various foreign policy NGOs. He brings sharp insights and humor to the point where politics and international affairs meet.
The
Security and Peace Initiative, a joint initiative of the
Center for American Progress and the
Century Foundation, created this blog. I like it because of the top notch cast of writers including foreign policy experts
Suzanne Nossel,
Heather Hurlburt, and
Lorelei Kelly.
As I worked on the documentary
24/7: The Rise and Influence of Arab Media I fell in love with this blog written by
Marc Lynch. Lynch is the author of
Voices of the New Arab Public. Lynch is the best American (I know of) for explaining what is really happening in the Arab world.
