The third and final photo is from downtown Pristina. The scuplture spelling out NEWBORN was installed just ahead of Kosovo's declaration of independence on February 17, 2008. It became the focal point for celebrations in the capital city. And photos of people climbing over and signing the NEWBORN sign were on the front pages of newspapers around the world.
Even now, the sign is a major attraction for Kosovars across the country and people around the world.
