President Obama made the official nomination today. So go ahead, read away.
Obama said Kerry won't need much "on-the-job" training. True enough. Kerry is a decorated Vietnam veteran and long-time member and chair of the Senate Foreign Relations committee.
"Few individuals know as many presidents and prime ministers, or grasp our foreign policies as firmly as John Kerry. And this makes him a perfect choice to guide American diplomacy in the years ahead," Obama said.
