Who Is He?: Richard Charles Albert Holbrooke was born on April 24, 1941 in New York City to Dan Holbrooke and Trudi Moos Kear. He is a well-known American diplomat widely seen as a potential secretary of state in a Democratic presidential administration.
Education: Holbrooke received his BA from Brown University in 1962 and completed a post-graduate fellowship at Princeton University in 1970.
Experience: He is perhaps best known for brokering the Dayton Peace Accords ending the Bosnian War. Holbrooke is the author of several books and an advisor to presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
